They're eating JELLYFISH.
Two words: Gah. Ross.
Sun-Sentinel says shrimp boats are harvesting them now, because people love them on top of salads.
What are jellyfish? Bags of mucus. Sorry. You clicked on this. I told you.
Brant Hansen hosts the radio show Mornings with Brant.
What kind of salad? Cause I really don't like radichio. That would be gross on top of radichio.

I knew it!!!!!! That is so GROSS!!! I like fried squid, but I just can't imagine eating a jellyfish. Maybe they just eat the tentacles or whatever. If they did though, they would get stung. Hmmm.... Face it, some people have strange taste-buds.

Perhaps you should try it before you declare it to be "gross"!
Someone tried eating oysters, and they look and feel gross, but they're delicious!
On the other hand, people also eat okra and bell peppers - those look and taste Gah. Ross.!
Seriously, give it a try - you might find that you have a new favorite food!

for real...jellyfish..thats it??
Whats the big deal?!
No, I wouldn't eat em, but if you would have said they put the stuff shrimp eat on a salad I would understand not saying it on the air

What's gross about it?
Let's see...big bags of mucus...on salad...hmmm...huh...hmmm...mucus...salad...salad/mucus...hmmm
I do *not* have to taste something first to know it's gross. There are things self-evidently gross.

Hey Brant,
I guess if some folks like coke that burns when you drink it, some folk will like j-fish that stings on the way down. It takes all kinds you know, remember John the Baptist? In my opinion honey can't cover the crunch!

I have to agree that Jelly-fish salad does not peak my interest, and I agree that if it floats your boat, by all means, set sail my friend. As for me I will forgo the pleasure. Thank you..

Hei Brant, maybe that fried jellyfish is just like fried calamari, a thing that I love.
How about frog legs ??
I've seen on TV and ad for a

eat about anything, and there were

I ate strips of jelly fish once at an authentic Chinese seafood restaurant. I don't remember much about it, 'cept it was kinda chewy, not like mucus at all. I also ate a whole miniature octopus in one bite, also kinda chewy.

Many years ago while I was in college, we rented out part of our apartment to some visiting Chinese Professors. One night they cooked me some authentic Chinese food. There was one item they couldn't remember the English name for. Well, I tried it and all I can remember now is that I didn't really like it. Later that night, they remembered the English word for it was JELLYFISH.

Was the picture too Gah Ross to share? Did you take it down? Did I miss it?

I am a Chinese-American, so I have eaten jellyfish tentacles before. It's rather chewy, but nevertheless quite tasty. I've never tried the head-things of the jellyfish, but I have seen a large bin full of them in an oriental supermarket in Orlando.
But then, I've eaten chicken feet, duck tongue, raw octopus/shrimp/squid, and ox tongue before, amongst other things, so I suppose I'm just really weird...
