Wow. That family's story made me cry. 350 days is way too long for families to be separated. My husband has been at his new job in NY since January. We've been able to see Daddy 4 times. Today the moving van is coming to pack up our stuff and by next Thursday we will all live together again. Kids need their Dads home every day.

My family and I have been that position before. That is one reason that I left the Army. Once we had children our perspective changed and they became the most important people on the earth to us. I can imagine how the little girl felt seeing her dad coming into the room and all of the emotion that came out at that time.
