The Best Sports Story You'll See in a Long Time
It's days old, but I found the video of the Sara Tucholsky rounding the bases. It's not on YouTube, but ESPN has it.
Sara is proud of her home run, understandably. But forgive me for thinking Mallory and her teammates steal the show. Humility, in our culture, is always striking, arresting, and unforgettable.

Beautiful - made me cry like a baby - just beautiful

I am glad to see that ESPN picked up on this "good news" story. How do we get this to the rest of the media as a positive example to our youth. Thanks for posting and sharing!

I just wanted to share with you a similar story. on the food network they had a cake challenge. four people had a do an engagement cake in 7 hours. one of the people was not well at all but she continued on. in the final hour she collapsed and had to be taken to the hospital. her assistant was concerned because this was a crucial hour in the competition. the other three people were very concerned about her heath and what not. one person however was almost completed with his cake and volunteered his assistant to help her and hen he himself helped in the final minutes. he did not win the contest but the judges as everyone else make several comments about his sportsmanship. he said that was better than winning.

Coincidentally, I got something in my eye (sniffle)while watching that. Seriously, I hope I never lose the feeling to cry at stuff like that.
