Single People: Check This Out!!!
In our continuing effort to be experimental and stuff, we're going to try offering the "Two Minute Blind Date" on the morning show.
It'll be just like this: You and some opposite-sex person about your age, chilling at the coffee shop with me and Nikki as your hosts. You'll get TWO minutes to get to know each other, and if you want to, you can exchange contact info. Or not. Whatever. No pressure.
-- except it'll be on the phone, rather than in person. Don't take it too seriously. Chances are, nothing will come out of it, but who knows? Whatever. No pressure. Fun! Mirth! Merriment!
If you want to try it, on the morning show, drop Nikki an email with your name, age, phone number, and what age range male or female you're looking for.
Note the young businessman above! He's enjoying his "Two Minute Blind Date" with the spiritually mature woman of his dreams on the WAY-FM morning show!
If this is as fun as it sounds like it will be, I'll be glad I thought of this! And if it fails miserably, it was all Nikki's idea!
------
Also: We've just declared, unilaterally, February 13th is "Singles Awareness Day" on WAY-FM's morning show!!! We're not totally sure what that means yet, but for people not looking forward to Valentine's, it should be cool.

I am so looking forward for the February 13th Single awareness day!

I fall into the "not looking forward to Valentines Day" column. Instead of "Singles Awareness Day" it should be called BLACK WEDNESDAY...or whatever day it happens to be that year.
Valentines should be a hoot now that Im single for the first time in 14 years!!
On the bright side, maybe Ill sink that putt Tomorrow morning

Yep, I'll be one of the "lonely hearts" on Valentine's Day. Years ago, a group of us singles used to get together on Valentine's Day for what we called "The Lonely Hearts Dinner". It was GREAT - we'd dress nice and all get together at someone's house and have a fabulous dinner together...and each guy would bring a rose for the ladies! It became a tradition for a few years, with anyone single welcome...until everyone started getting married! Maybe I should start that up again....

I'm detecting a universal "lonely single" demographics among this blogs readership.

when Brant talked about his friend Sean this morning and how he had almost given up on finding a normal compatible person, I totaly felt identified with him. sometimes I feel the same way, I can't seem to find a person that is compatible with me in thier relationship with God and thier view of life. Dating has become almost a nightmare for me. I'm really tired of people labeling me as a potential spouse when before I become that, I am person, just that..a person. so dating is a nightmare because people are so desperate in fitting me in their vision that they leave me out as a friend and a person, that just blows it all, because spontaneity is no longer an option. Everyone...please have in mind that deperation is a love killer!!! We all need to check ourselves for that and change our attitudes if necessary. God bless.

OK, I knew this was coming... but didn't I hear a church ad on Yesterday morning's show that encouraged them to come be single together or something? HUH?
(I think it played about 7 AM your time)
Maybe I was still asleep, but what is that about?

I am totally looking forward to Singles Day. Last night I found out that my bf was cheating on me for the past 4 months. Being a Christian woman, I was devasted and confused. I am delighted to see that I will not be the only anti-Valentine's Day person around this year. God Bless to all Singles!
