Warning: This Post is Offensive
On my last show, I'd talked about how important it is that we become un-offendable. Being un-offendable frees us up to love people. It frees us from anger.
Being un-offendable helps us to "die to ourselves" -- to care less about what people think of us, and more about what people think of Jesus.
Someone called -- offended.

Was it the statements or the drumming of your fingers that offended them? Just asking.

A little offensive rebut for you. On MY Christian talk radio station here in ABQ - 107.1 - I was listening to the Christian lawyer talk about the ACLU. He said in passing that it is OK for people to protest at military funerals. As I was stuck in traffic, my mind drifted forward in time to what I would do if this happened at my dad's funeral (retired USMC). I decided it would be OK if my cousins, sister and I took some super soakers filled with red and blue dye and did a little "peaceful protesting" of our own by painting the protesters.
On the whole, I feel unoffendable. Come on - every time I go up to Santa Fe someone is protesting one thing or another, and I am able to ignore them and go about my business. But wouldn't it be nice?
And, of course, I totally agree with you. This also sounds like a good message for youth groups.

I'm offended at the brand of camo that guy in the photo is wearing...

I love this idea!!! I TRY to implement it daily. The world is way too full of people who are way too "offendable"--and, that offends me...ha! Seriously, I agree. Thanks for getting the word out!!
